Hey all,
Well after looking around autoblog.com I saw that the new Lexus ES was caught without any camo in China.

Now my parents currently drive an 04' and 08' ES, so as a car lover it's interesting to see how the styling and technology and so forth has changed in these. If I were to compare my mom ES (newer) to my dads (older) while yes they do keep some characteristics and such there are some changes. In driving, styling, technology, so on.
I think the newer versions of Lexus are going to all probabally stick to the new design that the new GS started. Also there was a "leak" of the slightly tweaked RX online. It to features the new design language.
What are your thoughts? Do you like the newer design language? Or is it needing something else? Comment and let me know.

Toyota / Lexus recall...again.
So I was cruising around the AOL.com car blog and saw this:

Part of the recall is one of the cars my family has; a 2004 Lexus ES330. I believe I did a blog on the car. Now we haven't noticed anything that the recall says are indicators so hopefully we are not effected. I doubt any letters have gone out yet but will probably be going out soon. Lexus is usually very good about this stuff.
What do you think of this recall that's quite another big one for the car company? I'm interested in hearing what you all have to say.

I need a car to blog about
I am craving going and test driving a car for the blog. But I am unsure of what car I want to do. Its also difficult because of my age and cars salesman dont really bite for me. lol.
On my wish list is:
-Mercedes new C class (in my dreams haha)
-An Audi of some sorts
I am not sure how I am going to pull this off but I would love to drive one. Especially a Benz again.
any ideas on what I should/ can test drive?

2006 BMW Z4 3.0i
Hello all,
I went over to Lawrence Lexus and saw a BMW Z4 and went for a test drive. Wow. On a summer day a convertible is nice to have. haha. must admit I had trouble finding the button to put the top down on the car. Once the car was started and the top was down I was on my way for a fun, quick test drive. The car is a rear-wheel drive (people in snowy areas beware) and has a very nice ride to start off.
The looks are very nice. The long over hanging hood had a powerful stance to the car. The rear was very nice and simple as well. The car was low to the ground and had a very athletic appeal to it. Now the car is a tiny car; just a 2 seater car. But the car had plenty of room with a storage area near the arm rest and the trunk seemed to be a decent size. If you could fit golf clubs in the trunk I would like to be nice and say maybe one set max. The car had heated seats/ steering wheel, voice controls, auto lights, paddle shifters, steering wheel mounted buttons, and so on. My only issue really was the placement of the gas and brake peddle. The gas peddle is right next to the wall really. Then the brake is only a couple of inches away to your left. Made me a bit cautious driving it.
The ride was very nice. Very solid and powerful. I was afraid to drive the car because of how long the hood was, the things I have heard about BMW's delayed braking, and the car had power. Those things aside it was a fun ride for sure. The engine had a great noise to it and acceleration was quick, clean, and efficient sounding. On my way back to the dealership I had decided to push the SPORT button and see how that changed the already good throttle, steering, and so on. It did change the ride that was noticeable when I first started accelerating. Bye was the 40 mph in like 5 seconds and it was there in about 3 I would say. The steering got sportier on a already sporty car. The ride tightened up a bit to. The sport really added the little things that we look for in a sporty car. Driving the car was really fun, if I had more time with the car I would probably be able to drive it better. haha
Honestly I really wish the test drive had been longer so I would more things to say about the car. It was short and sweet but I really enjoyed driving it. The car was great. Everything was undamaged, still drove great, and had me pretty impressed.
Sorry that this entry is short. But that's all I can really say about this car. Everything was great, as to whether I would get this car compared to a Mercedes SLK who knows. I do know I had fun driving it, it was a great little car, and that I wish I had more time with it. haha.

Update on the 2009 Chevy Cobalt
Hey readers.
Thought I may as well talk about my car as of late since I cant really think of a subject to write about.
During the summer I go down to the shore a lot. Luckily that is considered highway driving, so I was able to get my MPG up to 30 MPG, for the trip and a little bit after. Kind of close to the government rating of 36-38 MPG highway. As of today I am averaging around 28-29 MPG combined driving. I don't know about you all but I am trying to cut down driving. The car takes regular gas, and I tend to go for the cheapest available. I'll splurge on Shell gas occasionally to help keep my engine OK just in case. It costs me $40 cash to fill up my car when practically on empty. So I try to fill it up once a week with $20 cash. Keep my car, like me, on a diet.
I may have mentioned this in the original blog I did about my car, but my car makes a very weird noise coming from the front right side where my wheel is. It sounds like a squeaky noise mixed with a rattling. Usually occurs at over 45 mph. Odd thing is the noise comes and go's. Now I cant hear it. If I did bring this up on my original blog about my car sorry about repeating myself, BUT I did have a Chevy tech sitting in the car listening to the noise. They said it was my rim. Well I had my rim banged out (result of driving this in the snow. Readers, do so with caution, NOT kidding! my next car is SO an AWD or 4WD car). So I am unsure why my car is making such a noise. Anyone have an idea PLZ post!
Currently It's been over 100 degrees with the heat index here in NJ. Must say, the remote start REALLY comes in handy. Speaking of the a/c system I am not sure if this is ageing but it's just not as strong as the day I got it. Maybe it's just so hot out lately.
The car is almost at 30K miles! Cant really believe I have driven THAT much. haha.
Other then my love/hate relationship with the car, the things that annoy me about and the things I enjoy it's being a good car so far (again love/hate relationship applys). They definitely made the car for this kind of weather. The car ride is fun to me, especially being a somewhat spirited driver. Driving is something I enjoy. Driving this car in this weather is definitely something I enjoy. The engine sounds nice with the windows down. =)
Lastly I was going through AOL.com and saw an article about used green cars that were good to get. I am happy to say my car was one of the ones named.
I am unhappy to say recently the government came out on a crash test thing about cars without traction control and how vital it is to have it? My memory on this is a little foggy. Apparently my car doesn't have traction control? Thus, it was voted one of the cars you can most likely get severely injured (or die) in as a result of a crash. The Chevy Cobalt, and Aveo were on this list, among others. That would explain why my car is not capable in snow. I went to the place to find out anything (Google) and typed in if a 2009 Chevy Cobalt has traction control. I never really got a yes or no answer. Just used ones from dealerships saying the car does have it. If anyone knows please comment.
Notice I started out positive on things? haha.
Well, that's an update on the Chevy.

Mercedes Benz 2012 M class
Hey all,
So as I normally do in my spare time I was cruising AOL's blog on cars. I saw that Mercedes has released pictures of the new 2012 ML.

Looking at the pictures the car will have more offroad options like a terrain control, ride controls, height controls, etc. The diamond stitched leather seats look really comfortable and supportive. Mercedes also updated the look with the new COMMAND system with the knob controller and moved the screen up a bit. The car also gets the updated steering wheel seen in the new CLS, SLK, and C class. Gorgeous wood accents, ambient lighting, and leather touched surfaces really add to this cars interior beauty.
The outside I am unsure of. It looks nice and sleeker. From a consumer point of view I am still unsure. It has a new front design with a sleeker design, same on the back. The car has strong lines on the sides, including looking frrom the side at the front. Like the other Mercedes models the front looks like its strong, and powerful. The more I look at the car, the more I seem to warm up to the look.

2008 C300 4MATIC
Hey all sorry its been so long. My desktop got a nasty crippling virus and is now broken. So I have slowly transfered to using a laptop.
Anyway...I was going to do the 2007 Mercedes Benz C280 4MATIC but I dont have enough pics of that. So I thought newer would be better...So I'm going to do the 2008 C300.
The car was amazing! It had the multimedia package, panorama sunroof, and ipod hookup. Most likely had more but the car was just awesome. The summer entry was great especially because when I had the pleasure of being with the car it was a hot summer day. The summer entry system is when you point the smartkey at the door while holding down the unlock button. Doing so opens all the windows and sunroof. If you would like to close them you can hold the lock button while pointing the smartkey at the door and all the windows and sunroof will close.
Where to start with the car? Inside? Sure..
The car like I said above had the multimedia package...which comes with the pop out nav system using the COMMAND system (custom to Mercedes-Benz), voice command, and more. I must say putting the smartkey in the ignition and starting the car was amazing. The noise of the engine, and having the pop out nav system smoothly come out showing you the classic Mercedes-Benz logo was definitly getting me excited about the car. Now the COMMAND system I love. The system is just so easy to use, just the knob and 2 buttons for back or clear. If you are driving and you dont want to use the knob you can use the mutltifunction steering wheel's voice command button. Compared to the Lexus...HA. the Lexus' voice commands are stupid and hardly recognize any commands. The Benz I could say, "radio, 102.1" and the radio would change to that station. Also on the dashboard using the steering wheel controls again you can even have the navigation system direction come up on your speedometer. Some say it takes a little getting used to, I would agree with that. Still though it is better then BMW's iDrive.
Otherwise the car has a normal triptronic transmission with the C or S button. C stands for comfort, used for a comfortable smooth ride. Turn on the S for sport and the funs just begun! So much fun, faster everything! It was incredible how fast the car responded to my acceleration. Honestly though whatever way you drive the car is perfect. For a leasurely ride around town have the car in C. For a little bit of fun turn on the S. It's all up to personal choice I believe.
Now the loaner didnt have a fancy wood trim, but honestly I thought it looked good with the alluminum trim. The black seats were very comfortable and supportive. Also compared to the previous generation it did feel bigger and lower and wider just like Mercedes said. The newer inside was very well thought out. Everything was a sturdy tough material. The layout was great, climate controls were different compared to the pervious generation as well but it works.
Driving it I felt very safe, as I allways did when I drove a Mercedes. The brakes were strong, the acceleration seamless, the steering perfect, the ride was just great. Something I thought they did a great job on was design. The whole car had an aggressive stance that showed it doesnt mess around..the tail lights are in the cars shape beautifully. Even the tail lights have something new to them. The car takes air flow and directs it out of little slits on the ends of the tail lights. I thought that was pretty cool.
All in all the car was just perfect. I think everything was just great and wish I had gotten to drive it more.
